Sweet Annie is hoping for her forever home. She is a 3-year-old sable-merle rough collie with a gentle and friendly personality.

Annie is polite when meeting new people and greets them with a wagging tail. Although a little unsure at first, she warms up fast and asks for gentle petting. She is affectionate, eager to please, and LOVES belly rubs and butt scratches. Her foster mom calls her a little shadow as she likes to follow her around. Often, you’ll find Annie sprawling on the couch belly up next to her humans or on the floor near them with her back touching their feet.

Annie is food motivated and has already learned her name and sit. She’s doing great with leash walking and gets excited when everyone is getting ready. She needs to learn proper etiquette when other people with dogs are passing by. She is a bit unsure when in a loud environment so a calmer neighborhood and household would be best. Annie is house trained and does not need a crate when staying home alone. She travels great in a car.

Annie gets along well with the resident collies. She is laid back overall, but being young, she still likes to run around and play from time to time. She has a rough play style so another dog that can match her personality would be ideal. Being a collie, she is vocal when playing and also when letting you know there is someone walking outside. Having herding tendencies, Annie will nip at other dog’s legs or human’s when running around. She will chase after wildlife and doesn’t have a good recall just yet; for this reason a physical fence is required.

This sweet and sensitive girl is a love and wants to be loved. We are looking for her forever home where her gentle and friendly personality will bring joy and love to her new family!
