Okay. This Harry is not a wizard, but he is one of our five “Hogwarts” dogs. He is also a sweet, laid back, sensitive 4-year-old boy. He has recently discovered all of the comforts of indoor living. His new favorite spots include a soft doggie bed and a comfy couch.
Harry gets along really well with all - cats and canines alike. He loves to run and play with other dogs. This is when you’ll likely hear this typically quiet dog let loose and bark. Because he so enjoys playing with dog pals, having a canine companion in his forever home would be ideal.
Harry isn’t used to leash walking and is a bit uneasy about it. He will need a patient family to teach him the basics. Many things are novel to Harry. Sudden loud noises will startle him, but he recovers quickly. He is hesitant in new situations. With his foster mom’s guidance, soft approach, and patience, Harry has gotten much better and has relaxed quite a bit. Having another confident dog in the house has helped build his confidence.
Because this sweet boy doesn’t have good recall just yet and sudden or loud noise might startle him, his forever home should have a fenced yard to keep him safe while he’s adapting to all the experiences his new home environment has to offer. His foster mom feels that a calm home without children is needed for Harry. Having his people home during much of the day would also be best for him.
Harry may not be a wizard, but he will work his magic on your heart. Consider welcoming this lovable lad into your world.
